Lady Bucs Sweep Wolves on Senior Day

MEMPHIS-The Christian Brothers University Lady Bucs celebrated Senior Day in style as they swept visiting West Georgia Saturday afternoon at Canale Arena.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
• After falling behind 12-11, the Lady Bucs (17-13, 12-8 GSC) used an 8-1 run to take the lead for good, going on to win 25-19.
• In the second set, the Wolves (4-25, 1-19) pulled even at 8-8 before a four-point run put CBU on top for good at 12-8. They steadily built their lead to as many as six points at 19-13 before a 5-1 run drew the Wolves within two at 20-18. CBU scored the next four, however, and they went on to win 25-19.
• CBU jumped to an early 6-1 lead and never trailed in the third set. The Wolves trimmed the lead to one point at 10-9, but a six-point run capped by a Brinsley Cooper (Rossville, Ind./Rossville HS) kill gave the Lady Bucs a 16-9 lead as they went on to win 25-16 and clinch the sweep.
