MEMPHIS-The Christian Brothers University Lady Bucs celebrated Senior Day in style as they swept visiting West Georgia Saturday afternoon at Canale Arena.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
• After falling behind 12-11, the Lady Bucs (17-13, 12-8 GSC) used an 8-1 run to take the lead for good, going on to win 25-19.
• In the second set, the Wolves (4-25, 1-19) pulled even at 8-8 before a four-point run put CBU on top for good at 12-8. They steadily built their lead to as many as six points at 19-13 before a 5-1 run drew the Wolves within two at 20-18. CBU scored the next four, however, and they went on to win 25-19.
• CBU jumped to an early 6-1 lead and never trailed in the third set. The Wolves trimmed the lead to one point at 10-9, but a six-point run capped by a

KEY STATS:

Jessica Reber (Byron, Ill./Byron HS) dished out 34 assists with six digs, five kills and four aces.

Emma Lenoir (Chattanooga, Tenn./East Hamilton HS) paced the CBU offense with nine kills.
•
Mary Kathryn Miller (Fulton, Ky./Fulton City HS) hit .412 with eight kills and three blocks.
• Cooper hit .467 with seven kills and a pair of blocks.
•
Erica Maurer (St. Louis, Mo./Ursuline Academy) notched eight kills with three blocks.

WHAT'S NEXT:
The Lady Bucs enter next week's GSC Tournament as the No. 4 seed. They will host No. 5 seed Lee in a quarterfinal Tuesday night at 7 p.m. The winner advances to Friday's semifinals, where they will face top-seeded West Florida.
