CLARKSVILLE, Tenn.-The Christian Brothers University Lady Bucs led for nearly the entire first half Sunday in their final exhibition game of the season at Austin Peay, but the hosts closed the game on a 40-15 run to claim a 76-57 victory.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
• After a back-and-forth start to the first quarter, a

• After the Governors (1-1) used a 9-2 run to tie the game at 23, CBU again responded, using a 7-1 burst to take a 37-32 lead on a
Samantha Reeves (Somerville, Tenn./Fayette Academy) layup with 8:53 remaining in the third quarter, and the Lady Bucs took a 42-36 lead on a Banks triple with 7:27 remaining in the quarter.
• From there, however, the Governors dominated the action. First it was a 10-0 run to take a 46-42 lead on a Brianne Alexander layup with 4:30 remaining in the third. Then, after CBU came back within a point, an 11-2 burst gave APSU a 57-47 lead on another Alexander layup with 1:15 remaining in the quarter.
• The snowball continued in the fourth quarter, as APSU outscored the Lady Bucs 18-9 to stretch out the 76-57 final margin.
