FLORENCE, Ala.-Host North Alabama ended the game on a 6-0 run, all at the free throw line, with the decisive points after a loose-ball foul near halfcourt with one second remaining, as they rallied for a 73-71 win Saturday afternoon at Flowers Hall.
HOW IT HAPPENED:• The Bucs (11-16, 9-12 GSC) took an early lead, taking a 22-15 edge when
Cody Garbuzinski (Memphis, Tenn./Christian Brothers HS) capped a 14-6 run with a three-pointer with 8:48 remaining in the first half.
• After a 6-0 run brought the Lions (16-11, 13-8) within 22-21 on a Bilal Richardson jumper, the Bucs answered with 10 straight, capped by a
Jeff Larkin (Cincinnati, Ohio/La Salle HS) triple that gave CBU a 32-21 lead with 1:37 remaining in the first half.
• After the Bucs led by as many as 12 points early in the second half, the Lions fought back into the game quickly, first using a 6-0 burst to close within 37-31 on a three-point play by Richardson.
• After the Bucs extended their lead back to 47-38 on a #J.T. Moody# triple with 15:19 remaining, the Lions answered with a 16-4 run capped by a fastbreak three-pointer by DeAndre McKinnie that gave them a 54-51 lead with 9:50 remaining.
• The Lions maintained the lead until the final three minutes, when the Bucs used a 7-0 run capped by a pair of Moody free throws to take a 71-67 lead with 1:20 remaining.
• UNA answered with six straight at the free throw line, all by Jackson, to set the final margin at 73-71.
KEY STATS:• Hildreth led the Bucs with 20 points and a career-high 15 rebounds.

Alex Trentman (Alexandria, Ky./Bishop Brossart HS) tacked on 12 with nine rebounds.
• Larkin scored 12 before fouling out.

Jordan Miller (Fulton, Ky./Fulton City HS) scored 11 as he was limited to 17 minutes by foul trouble.
• The Bucs shot 43.1 percent (22-of-51) for the game, including 39.1 percent (9-of-23) from three-point range. CBU shot 72.0 percent (18-of-25) at the free throw line.
• UNA was 35.6 percent (21-of-59) overall, including 33.3 percent (5-of-15) from beyond the arc, but they shot 78.8 percent (26-of-33) at the charity stripe.
• The Bucs out-rebounded the Lions 39-36, but UNA held a 12-9 edge on the offensive boards and forced 20 CBU turnovers while committing 11.
