LIVINGSTON, Ala.-No. 7 West Alabama scored in seven of the game's nine innings as they claimed an 11-2 win over the Christian Brothers University Bucs Monday afternoon.
HOW IT HAPPENED:• Playing as the visiting team since the series was originally scheduled for Nadicksbernd Field, the Tigers (19-4, 10-2 GSC) used a pair of doubles to score a run int he top of the first.
• UWA added three more to its lead in the second inning on a single, a hit batter, a triple and a double.
• The Tigers scored three more in the top of the third on a hit batter, a walk and three singles.
• The Bucs (5-17, 0-12) scored their first run in the bottom of the fourth.
Casey Goodwin (Memphis, Tenn./Christian Brothers HS) singled, and walks to
Joe Mattson (Nashville, Tenn./Franklin Road Academy) and
Christian Halterman (Dyersburg, Tenn./Dyer County HS) loaded the bases with one out.
Hunter Howard (Chelsea, Ala./Chelsea HS) followed with an RBI single to cut the deficit to 7-1.
• UWA answered with a run in the top of the fifth on two singles and two walks.
• The Tigers scored a run again in the sixth on a hit batter and two singles.
• CBU scored again in the bottom of the sixth with a two-out rally. Halterman walked, and Howard reached on an error.
Caleb Goodwin (Shreveport, La./Evangel Christian Academy) followed with an RBI single to center to cut the deficit to 9-2.
• UWA plated a run in the top of the eighth on a triple and a single.
• The Tigers set the final margin in the top of the ninth with a run on a walk, a groundout and a single.
KEY STATS:• Caleb Goodwin went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

• Casey Goodwin went 1-for-4 with a run.
