MEMPHIS-Visiting Maryville scored two runs in the top of the third as they claimed a 2-0 win over the Christian Brothers University Lady Bucs Thursday afternoon at Bland Field.
HOW IT HAPPENED:• The Saints (15-3) scored both of their runs in the top of the third, taking advantage of a single, a walk, a double and a two-out error.
KEY STATS:•
Amber Johnson (Somerville, Tenn./Fayette Academy) went 1-for-3 with a stolen base for the Lady Bucs (6-22).

Alexis Seward (Chino, Calif./Chino HS) was 1-for-3 with a double.

Holly Oyhenart (Menifee, Calif./Paloma Valley HS) went 1-for-4.

Kasey Beekman (Aurora, Colo./Aliso Niguel (Calif.) HS) took the loss despite allowing just one earned run, two total, as she scattered four hits and one walk over four innings.

Kylie Steagall (San Diego, Calif./Steele Canyon HS) threw three scoreless innings, pitching around three hits and a walk.
WHAT'S NEXT:The Lady Bucs return to action this weekend as they visit Mississippi College for a GSC series. They play a 4 p.m. doubleheader Saturday and a 2 p.m. single game Sunday. Their next home game is set for Wednesday at 1 p.m. as they host Trevecca Nazarene.
