MEMPHIS-Visiting Trevecca Nazarene swept a doubleheader from the Christian Brothers University Lady Bucs Wednesday afternoon in CBU's final home non-conference games of the season.
GAME 1:WHAT HAPPENED:The Trojans (20-12) scored in five of the game's six innings as they rolled to a 9-1 victory.
HOW IT HAPPENED:• Trevecca leadoff hitter Ansley Brantley homered on just the fourth pitch of the game to put the Trojans on the board first.
• The Trojans used a double and a pair of wild pitches to plate another run in the second inning.
• CBU (6-27) halved the deficit in the bottom of the second.
Olivia Parsels (Germantown, Tenn./St. Benedict HS) led off with a single. After moving to second on a
Blake Andres (Arlington, Tenn./Briarcrest HS) sacrifice, she moved to third on a wild pitch and socred on a
Jacqueline Conlan (Collierville, Tenn./Collierville HS) single to center.
• The Trojans blew the game open with a one-out rally in the top of the third inning, scoring four runs on a pair of singles and back-to-back homers by Caitlyn Hudgins and Mary Collins.
• Trevecca added another run to its lead in the fourth on a pair of singles.
• The Trojans set the final margin with two in the top of the sixth on a dropped third strike, a walk and a two-run double.
KEY STATS:•
Amber Johnson (Somerville, Tenn./Fayette Academy) went 1-for-3 with a double.

Holly Oyhenart (Menifee, Calif./Paloma Valley HS) was 1-for-2 with a walk and a stolen base.

GAME 2:WHAT HAPPENED:The Trojans used a pair of five-run innings to take control early in a 13-1 victory.
HOW IT HAPPENED:• Another Brantley leadoff homer sparked a five-run first inning. Three singles and a Collins homer pushed the Trevecca lead to 5-0.
• The Lady Bucs shaved a run off the deficit in the bottom of the first. Johnson led off with a single. After moving to second on an Oyhenart sacrifice, she scored on a Parsels single.
• The Trojans scored five more in the top of the third, on a Collins homer, four singles and a Brantley double.
• Trevecca scored another run in the top of the fourth on double and a two-out triple.
• The Trojans added two more in the top of the fifth on two singles and a double, setting the final margin.
KEY STATS:• Parsels went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

• Johnson went 1-for-3 with a run.
WHAT'S NEXT:The Lady Bucs return to action Friday afternoon at 2 p.m. as they host West Florida for a doubleheader. The teams meet again Saturday at noon for a single game.
