CLEVELAND, Tenn.-Host Lee tossed a pair of shutouts as they swept a doubleheader from the Christian Brothers University Lady Bucs Saturday afternoon.
GAME 1:
WHAT HAPPENED:
The Lady Flames (23-22-1, 9-18-1 GSC) used a run in the second inning and another in the fourth to claim a 2-0 victory.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
• Lee struck first in the bottom of the second inning with a run on two singles and a double.
• The Lady Flames set the final margin with a run in the fourth inning on a double and a single.
KEY STATS:

Amber Johnson (Somerville, Tenn./Fayette Academy) went 2-for-4 for the Lady Bucs (9-37, 3-26).

Jenna Cotter (Collierville, Tenn./Houston HS) was 1-for-3.

WHAT HAPPENED:
The Lady Flames scored in all four innings, including three in the second and third, as they won 8-0.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
• The Lady Flames opened the scoring with a run in the first on a double and an error.
• Lee blew it open with a three-run fourth, loading the bases with two singles and a walk followed by a three-run double.
• The Lady Flames tacked on three more in the third on two walks, a double and two singles.
• Lee set the final margin with a fourth-inning run on a pair of two-out doubles.
KEY STATS:
• Johnson went 1-for-2 with a first-inning double.
