CLEVELAND, Miss.-No. 23 Delta State scored in three of their four innings at the plate as they claimed an 11-1 win over the Christian Brothers University Lady Bucs Sunday afternoon.
HOW IT HAPPENED:• DSU (30-10, 19-5 GSC) scored four runs in the bottom of the first, taking advantage of two walks, a single and a three-run Madison Zoeller homer.
• The Lady Bucs (6-33, 2-22) scored what proved to be their lone run of the day in the second.
Alexis Seward (Chino, Calif./Chino HS) reached on an error. After moving to second on a
Hannah Oliver (Collierville, Tenn./Collierville HS) sacrifice, she scored on a double by
Jacqueline Conlan (Collierville, Tenn./Collierville HS).
• The Lady Statesmen plated four more in the bottom of the second on three singles and a two-run Jordan Jones homer.
• DSU set the final margin with a three-run fourth inning on two doubles and two singles.
KEY STATS:•
Holly Oyhenart (Menifee, Calif./Paloma Valley HS) went 2-for-3 with a stolen base.
• Conlan was 1-for-2 with a double and one RBI.

Amber Johnson (Somerville, Tenn./Fayette Academy) went 1-for-3 with a stolen base as she extended her school-record hitting streak to 21 games.

Abby Ferreira (Santa Clarita, Calif./Saugus HS) was 1-for-2.
WHAT'S NEXT:The Lady Bucs step out of GSC play for a doubleheader Wednesday afternoon at 2 p.m. as they visit Arkansas-Pine Bluff. Their next home game is Saturday at noon, when they host West Georgia for a doubleheader.
