MEMPHIS-Visiting Drury used a 74th-minute goal by Kerri Morris as they claimed a 1-0 win over the Christian Brothers University Lady Bucs Thursday night at Signaigo Field in the season opener for both schools.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
• After more than 70 scoreless minutes, Drury's Mckenzie Robbins sent a pass from the right sideline ahead to Morris in the box. Morris beat the CBU defense for the ball, then dribbled past the goalkeeper and scored on the open net to give Drury (1-0-0) the game's only goal.
KEY STATS:
• The Lady Bucs (0-1-0) out-shot Drury 12-10, but Drury held a 7-4 edge in shots on goal as four different Lady Bucs sent a shot over the crossbar.

Emily Wragg (Nottingham, England/The Becket School) made six saves, while Drury's Tina Haberberger made four.

The Lady Bucs travel to Nashville for a game against Clayton State at Trevecca Nazarene Saturday night at 6 p.m. Their next home game is set for Sunday, Sept. 25, when they host Mississippi College at 1 p.m.
