SAINT LEO, Fla.-Host Saint Leo scored once in the first half and twice in the second as they claimed a 3-1 win over the CHristian Brothers University Lady Bucs Sunday afternoon.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
• The Lions (2-1-0) struck first in the 11th minute when Arielle Kabangu scored off a double-assist from Natalie Melillo and Alejandra Muro.
• SLU added two more goals 140 seconds apart in the second half. First, Rakeisha Sealey captalized on a Melillo cross in the 60th minute to extend their lead to 2-0.
• The Lions scored another goal in the 62nd minute, when Selena Jaimes scored unassisted.
• CBU (0-4-0) scored in the 69th minute, when
Ashton White (Collierville, Tenn./Collierville HS) found the net unassisted.
KEY STATS:
• The Lions out-shot CBU 21-8 for the game, including an 11-6 edge in shots on goal.

Emily Wragg (Nottingham, England/The Becket School) made eight saves in the game for CBU.
WHAT'S NEXT:
The Lady Bucs continue their five-game road trip Friday afternoon at 1 p.m. as they travel to Mobile, Ala., to face Spring Hill for their GSC opener. Their next home game is Sunday, Sept. 25, when they host Mississippi College at 1 p.m.
