Lady Bucs Sweep Lady Choctaws

MEMPHIS-The Christian Brthers University Lady Bucs hit a season-high .395 and matched a season-high with 12 aces as they rolled to a sweep over visiting Mississippi College Saturday afternoon at Canale Arena.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
• CBU (6-2, 2-1 GSC) never trailed in the first set, building an early 7-2 lead and never allowing MC (6-5, 0-4) to tie the set again en route to a 25-18 win.
• In set two, the Lady Bucs again jumped to a commanding early lead of 7-1 behind three early aces, two by Emma Lenoir (Chattanooga, Tenn./East Hamilton HS) and one from Jessica Reber (Byron, Ill./Byron HS), and they never allowed the Lady Choctaws closer than three points in another 25-18 win.
• In the third set, back-to-back Lenoir aces put CBU ahead for good at 4-1, and they went on to build leads of 16-9 and 23-12 en route to a 25-14 win.

KEY STATS:
• Lenoir racked up 20 points, pounding 13 kills to go with nine digs and seven aces, all match-bests, as she hit .304.
• Reber dished out 35 assists with six digs, five aces and four kills, hitting .800.
• Mary Kathryn Miller (Fulton, Ky./Fulton City HS) had nine kills, hitting .438.
• Erica Maurer (St. Louis, Mo./Ursuline Academy) added eight kills as she hit .400.
• Brinsley Cooper (Rossville, Ind./Rossville HS) tacked on eight kills and hit .353.
