MEMPHIS-The Christian Brothers University Lady Bucs claimed a four-set win over visiting Lee Tuesday night, but not before coming within a point of tying the NCAA record for most points in a set, winning the clincher 36-34.
HOW IT HAPPENED:

• The Lady Bucs used a 7-1 run early in the third set to take a 9-5 lead on a
Brinsley Cooper (Rossville, Ind./Rossville HS) kill. The Lady Flames came within a point as late as 20-19 before CBU scored five of the final seven points, winning 25-21 on an
Erica Maurer (St. Louis, Mo./Ursuline Academy) kill.
• In the fourth set, Lee used a five-point run to open an early 8-3 lead. The Lady Bucs slowly cut into the lead, eventually using a 5-1 run to take a 19-18 lead on a
Nina Tuszynski (Naperville, Ill./Metea Valley HS) ace. From there, the teams traded points, with neither team taking a two-point lead until CBU claimed a 36-34 win, scoring four of the final five points.
