Lady Bucs Down Delta State 4-0

CLEVELAND, Miss.-Four different players scored as the Christian Brothers University Lady Bucs routed Delta State 4-0 Sunday afternoon to remain in fourth place in the Gulf South Conference.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
• The Lady Bucs (7-3-0, 5-2-0 GSC) struck quickly as Nikesha Mitchell (Toronto, Ontario/Cedarbrae C.I.) scored off a cross from Anna Della Rosa (Collierville, Tenn./Houston HS) in the 20th minute for her second goal of the season, scoring from 16 yards out.
Lauren Magdefrau (Raleigh, N.C./Cardinal Gibbons HS) added a tally in the 26th minute, scoring off a Bailey Tadlock (Mandeville, La./Fontainebleau HS) throughball for her third goal of the year.
• Tadlock picked up another assist in the 44th minute when she fed Ashton White (Collierville, Tenn./Collierville HS) for a goal from 12 yards out to give CBU a 3-0 edge at halftime. The goal was White's second of the season.
Caitlin Barnes (Olive Branch, Miss./Center Hill HS) set the final margin with an unassisted score in the 83rd minute.

KEY STATS:
• CBU out-shot Delta State (2-8-0, 2-6-0) 27-11 for the game, including 15-2 in the second half and 11-5 in shots on goal.
Riley Chafin (Little Rock, Ark./Central HS) made five saves as she earned her first career shutout.

WHAT'S NEXT:
The Lady Bucs return home next weekend for a pair of games as they will finish the season with five of their last seven at home. They host Auburn-Montgomery Friday night at 5 p.m. and Montevallo Sunday afternoon at 1 p.m.
