Tigers Blank Lady Bucs 3-0

LIVINGSTON, Ala.-Host West Alabama claimed a 3-0 win over the Christian Brothers University Lady Bucs Sunday afternoon in CBU's final road game of the regular season.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
• TeMia Pride opened the scoring for UWA (7-6, 6-5 GSC) as she scored in the 30th minute off a cross from Anele Komani.
• Komani doubled the Tiger lead just after halftime as she scored an unassisted goal in the 47th minute.
• Komani set the final margin in the 82nd minute as she scored off an assist from Haleigh Kimble.

KEY STATS:
• UWA out-shot the Lady Bucs (8-5-1, 6-4-1) 13-11, including a 7-4 edge in shots on goal.
Riley Chafin (Little Rock, Ark./Central HS) made four saves for CBU.

GSC STANDINGS:
With the loss, CBU drops into sixth place in the GSC standings with three games remaining. North Alabama is in first place with 28 points, and Mississippi College and Lee are tied for second with 27. All three have clinched berths in the GSC Tournament. Valdosta State sits in fourth, followed by West Florida (22), CBU (19), West Alabama (18), West Georgia (18) and Montevallo (16). The top eight teams go to the tournament, with quarterfinals hosted by higher seeds Tuesday, Oct. 31. The semifinals will be Friday, Nov. 3, in Montgomery, Ala., with the finals set for Sunday, Nov. 5, in Montgomery.

WHAT'S NEXT:
The Lady Bucs wrap up the season with three games at home, beginning Friday night at 5 p.m. as they host West Florida.
