MEMPHIS-Host Memphis turned 23 Christian Brothers University turnovers into 37 points as they pulled away to an 83-50 exhibition win over the Lady Bucs Saturday afternoon.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
• Memphis opened the game with a 12-0 run before
Makayla Enochs (Finley, Tenn./Dyer County HS) put the Lady Bucs on the board with a three-pointer. Memphis would extend its opening run to 18-3 on a Taylor Barnes jumper with 3:33 remaining in the first quarter, and CBU never came closer than 10 again.
• A
Kelsey Adkins (Lawrenceburg, Tenn./Lawrence County HS) triple and an Enochs layup trimmed the deficit to 18-8 before the Tigers used an 11-2 run to open a 29-10lead on an Alyssa Dean trey.
• Adkins scored seven straight later in the half to pull CBU back within 13, making a three and two layups to close within 35-22 with 1:33 remaining in the half.
• The Tigers opened the second half with a 16-5 run to take a 53-29 lead on a pair of Brea Elmore free throws with 4:33 remaining in the third quarter, and the Lady Bucs never came closer than 21 points again.
KEY STATS:
• Adkins scored team-highs of 20 points and five rebounds, making 7-of-12 field goals including 4-of-7 from three-point range.
• Enochs added 10 with four rebounds.

Kenzie Jones (Park Hills, Mo./Central HS) tacked on eight points.
• The Lady Bucs shot 37.8 percent (17-of-45) from three-point range, including 32 percent (8-of-25) from three-point range. Memphis finished 49.1 percent (28-of-57) overall, including 35.7 percent (5-of-14) from beyond the arc.
• Memphis out-rebounded the Lady Bucs 34-26, including a 12-9 edge in offensive rebounds.
• CBU committed 23 turnovers to the Tigers' 10.
