Kenzie Jones (Park Hills, Mo., Central HS) scoring 21 points with eight rebounds and senior
Mikaela Blissett (Oran, Mo., Scott County Central HS) scoring 11 with 10 rebounds.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
• The teams traded early runs, with the Lady Bucs (2-4, 1-1 GSC) using a 6-0 burst to take a 6-2 lead on a
Rafaella Angelidou (Thessaloniki, Greece/Aristoteleio Kollegeio) layup with 7:15 remaining in the first quarter.
• MC (2-4, 0-2) answered with a 12-2 run to take a 14-8 lead, their largest of the day, on an Olivia Mabry free throw with 2:58 remaining in the period.
• CBU answered with a 16-2 run capped by an
Emily Reeves (Somerville, Tenn./Fayette Academy) three-point play that gave them a 30-20 lead with 1:59 remaining in the half, a lead they would not relinquish.
• After the Lady Choctaws cut the halftime margin to 31-25, Jones and Blissett combined for a 7-0 burst that pushed the lead back to double digits for good. Jones started the half with a triple, and back-to-back Blissett layups extended the lead to 38-25 with 8:14 remaining in the third.
• CBU used a 9-0 burst late in the third to extend their lead to 52-33, their largest of the game, on two Angelidou free throws with 1:37 remaining, and the Lady Choctaws never came closer than 17 points again.
KEY STATS:
• Jones scored 21 with eight rebounds and two assists in 34 minutes. She shot 8-of-18 overall, including 3-of-6 from three-point range.
• Blissett added 11 with 10 rebounds for her first career double-double. She shot 4-of-7 from the field, making 3-of-4 free throws. She also dished two assists as she played a career-high 38 minutes.
• Angelidou scored 15 with seven rebounds and two assists in 36 minutes.

Emily Reeves (Somerville, Tenn./Fayette Academy) tacked on 10 with six assists, three rebounds and two steals in 33 minutes. She finished 4-of-5 from the field, including 1-of-2 from three-point range.
• The Lady Bucs shot 38.7 percent (24-of-62) from the field, including just 30.8 percent (8-of-26) from three-point range. They held MC to 39.6 percent (21-of-53) overall, including 16.7 percent (2-of-12) from beyond the arc. CBU out-rebounded the Lady Choctaws 41-37, including a 14-11 edge in offensive boards, and they forced 22 turnovers while committing 16.
