HOW IT HAPPENED:
• The Lady Bucs opened the scoring with three runs in the first. Holly Oyhenart (Menifee, Calif./Paloma Valley HS) led off with a single. After stealing second, she scored on a Julia Schassburger (Dyer, Ind./Lake Central HS) single. • CBU scored twice in the top of the second. Jacqueline Conlan (Collierville, Tenn./Collierville HS) drew a leadoff walk and moved to second on a Maddi Welch (Munford, Tenn./Munford HS) single to left. After Conlan was forced out when Oyhenart grounded into a force play, Welch scored on a Toni Rizzo (St. Rose, La./John Curtis Christian) error, and an error allowed Oyhenart to score.

Schassburger, Steagall and Sierra Anderson (Olive Branch, Miss./Lewisburg HS) worked three straight two-out walks to load the bases. Olivia Parsels (Germantown, Tenn./St. Benedict HS) cleared the bases with a double to the gap in left-center, but a popout ended the game a batter later.
