MONTGOMERY, Ala.-The Christian Brothers University Lady Bucs dropped a pair of games Sunday in the Auburn-Montgomery Tournament.
GAME 1:
WHAT HAPPENED:
Host Auburn-Montgomery (4-3) scored in four of the first five innings as they claimed a 7-0 victory.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
• The Warhawks plated two runs in the first inning on a two hit batters, a walk and a single.
• AUM tacked on three more in the bottom of the second on a two walks, a double and two singles.
• The Warhawks added a run in the fourth on a pair of doubles.
• AUM set the final margin with a run in the fifth on two singles and a sacrifice bunt.
KEY STATS:

Olivia Parsels (Germantown, Tenn./St. Benedict HS) was 1-for-2.

Maddi Welch (Munford, Tenn./Munford HS) went 1-for-3.
•
Holly Oyhenart (Menifee, Calif./Paloma Valley HS) was 1-for-3.

Julia Schassburger (Dyer, Ind./Lake Central HS) went 1-for-3.
GAME 2:
WHAT HAPPENED:
Spring Hill (6-3) scored five runs in the top of the sixth inning, four unearned, to break open what had been a scoreless tie as they won 5-0 over CBU (2-6).
HOW IT HAPPENED:
• The Badgers scored the first run in the sixth on a single, a sacrifice bunt, a stolen base and a sacrifice fly. After a two-out error, four more runs came across on two walks, a hit batter and two more singles.
KEY STATS:
• Oyhenart went 1-for-2 with a walk.
•
Abby Ferreira (Santa Clarita, Calif./Saugus HS) was 1-for-2 with a walk.
•
Kylie Steagall (San Diego, Calif./Steele Canyon HS) went 1-for-3.
• Parsels was 1-for-3.

The Lady Bucs return home next weekend. Their home opener, also their GSC opener, is scheduled for Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m. at Bland Field.
