LIVINGSTON, Ala.-Host West Alabama scored in four of the game's six innings as they won 9-1 over the Christian Brothers University Lady Bucs Friday afternoon.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
• CBU (4-21, 0-12 GSC) struck first with a run in the top of the first.
Amber Johnson (Somerville, Tenn./Fayette Academy) walked and stole second. After
Toni Rizzo (St. Rose, La./John Curtis Christian) walked,
Maddi Welch (Munford, Tenn./Munford HS) reached safely on a fielder's choice to load the bases.
Julia Schassburger (Dyer, Ind./Lake Central HS) reached on an error, bringing Johnson home to put the Lady Bucs ahead.
• The Tigers (12-13, 7-5) evened the score in the bottom of the inning with a run on two singles, a sacrifice bunt and an RBI groundout.
• UWA took the lead for good an inning later with four runs on five singles and an error.
• The Tigers added another run in the fourth on a single and a double.
• UWA ended the game with three in the fifth on a hit batter, two errors and a single.

• Johnson was 0-for-2 but walked, stole a base and scored.
