MEMPHIS-Visiting Mississippi College scored in all five innings and pitcher Penny Nichols threw a three-hit shutout as they won 11-0 over the Christian Brothers University Lady Bucs Sunday afternoon at Bland Field.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
• MC (17-11, 9-6 GSC) opened the scoring in the first with a single and a two-run homer by Tylan Buckley.
• The Lady Choctaws added two more in the second on two errors and a two-run double by Buckley.
• MC tacked on two more in the third on three singles.
• The Lady Choctaws extended their lead to 7-0 with a run in the fourth on two singles, a wild pitch and a sacrifice fly.
• MC set the final margin with four runs in the fifth inning on a walk and four singles.

Kylie Steagall (San Diego, Calif./Steele Canyon HS) went 1-for-1 with a walk for the Lady Bucs (4-24, 0-15)
