MEMPHIS-Visiting Auburn-Montgomery swept a doubleheader from the Christian Brothers University Lady Bucs Wednesday afternoon at Bland Field, winning the opener 3-1 and claiming an 8-5 win in the nightcap.
GAME 1:
WHAT HAPPENED:
The Warhawks (18-15) scored three runs in the fourth inning as they claimed a 3-1 win in the opener.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
• AUM opened the fourth inning with a first-pitch homer by Jaycie Walker, and they turned a double and two errors into two more runs to take a 3-0 win.
• The Lady Bucs (6-29) shaved a run off the deficit in the bottom of the fifth when
Abby Ferreira (Santa Clarita, Calif./Saugus HS) launched her first career homer to centerfield to open the inning.
KEY STATS:
• Ferreira went 1-for-3 with a homer, a run and one RBI.

Julia Schassburger (Dyer, Ind./Lake Central HS) was 1-for-2 with a walk.

Holly Oyhenart (Menifee, Calif./Paloma Valley HS) went 1-for-3.
GAME 2:
WHAT HAPPENED:
AUM hit three homers and four doubles as they built a 5-0 lead in the first three innings then withstood two CBU comebacks to win 8-5.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
• A two-out double followed by back-to-back homers by Kalee Sparks and Rose Schmdit gave AUM a 3-0 lead in the first.
• A one-out Sparks single and a two-run homer by Schmidt extended the Warhawks' lead to 5-0 in the third inning.
• CBU scored twice in the sixth inning.
Amber Johnson (Somerville, Tenn./Fayette Academy) singled and stole second, moving to third on an Oyhenart single.
Kylie Steagall (San Diego, Calif./Steele Canyon HS) reached on an error, bringing both home to cut the deficit to 5-2.
• AUM tacked on three more in the top of the seventh on three singles and a double.
• The Lady Bucs scored three of their own in the bottom of the inning.
Toni Rizzo (St. Rose, La./John Curtis Christian) led off with a double and scored on a Johnson single. After Johnson moved to second on a wild pitch, she scored when Oyhenart reached on a three-base throwing error. Oyhenart scored on a Steagall sacrifice fly to set the final margin.

• Johnson went 2-for-4 with a steal, two runs and one RBI.
• Oyhenart was 2-for-4 with a steal and two runs.
