MEMPHIS-No. 16 Alabama Huntsville scored six runs in the top of the first as they claimed a 9-0 win over the Christian Brothers University Lady Bucs Sunday afternoon at Bland Field.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
• UAH (16-5, 7-2 GSC) jumped to a commanding early lead as they took advantage of two errors, a walk, a single, a double, a triple and a two-run Brooke Miller homer to score six runs in the top of the first inning.
• The Chargers added two more runs in the top of the second inning on a single, a double and an error.
• UAH set the final margin with a third-inning solo homer by Shannon Long.
