SEARCY, Ark.-No. 19 Harding used three key four-run innings as they swept a doubleheader from the Christian Brothers University Lady Bucs Tuesday afternoon.
GAME 1:
WHAT HAPPENED:
The Lady Bisons (17-3) scored four runs in the second and four more in the fifth to take an 8-0 win in the opener.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
• Harding converted a single, two walks and two doubles into four runs in the bottom of the second inning.
• The Lady Bisons ended the game with a four-run fifth, capitalizing on a walk, a single and three doubles.
KEY STATS:

Toni Rizzo (St. Rose, La./John Curtis Christian) went 2-for-2 for the Lady Bucs (4-18).
•
Maddi Welch (Munford, Tenn./Munford HS) was 1-for-2 with a triple.
GAME 2:
WHAT HAPPENED:
Harding used a four-run fourth inning to break open a tie game en route to an 8-4 win in the nightcap.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
• The Lady Bisons opened scoring in the bottom of the first with a run on a pair of doubles.
• Harding scored another run in the second on a triple and a double.
• CBU tied it with two runs in the top of the third.
Holly Oyhenart (Menifee, Calif./Paloma Valley HS) reached on an error, and she scored when
Kylie Steagall (San Diego, Calif./Steele Canyon HS) blasted a homer to right field.
• The Lady Bisons scored four runs in the fourth on an error, two walks and three singles.
• Harding added two more runs to its lead in the fifth on three singles and a double.
• The Lady Bucs scored a pair of two-out runs in the top of the seventh. Steagall singled up the middle, and
Alexis Seward (Chino, Calif./Chino HS) worked a walk. Rizzo followed with a two-run double to left-center. A strikeout ended the game a batter later.

• Steagall was 3-for-4 with a homer and two RBI.
• Seward went 2-for-3 with a walk and a run.
• Rizzo was 1-for-3 with a walk, a double and two RBI.
• Oyhenart went 1-for-4 with a run.
• Welch was 1-for-4.

The Lady Bucs hit the road this weekend for a GSC series at West Alabama. Saturday's doubleheader begins at noon, with a single game set for 1 p.m. Sunday. Their next home game is Saturday, March 18, when they host Mississippi College for a 1 p.m. doubleheader.
