Lady Flames Rally Past Lady Bucs in Sweep

MEMPHIS-The Christian Brothers University Lady Bucs scored first in each game, but visiting Lee rallied both times to win 4-1 and 3-1 to sweep Friday's Gulf South Conference doubleheader.

GAME 1:
WHAT HAPPENED:
The Lady Bucs (6-37, 0-26 GSC) manufactured a fifth-inning run to take a 1-0 lead, but Lee (31-13, 17-9) scored four in the top of the sixth to claim the victory.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
• Abby Ferreira (Santa Clarita, Calif./Saugus HS) led off the fifth with a single to left, but she was forced out at second on an Amber Johnson (Somerville, Tenn./Fayette Academy) bunt. Johnson reached second on a Holly Oyhenart (Menifee, Calif./Paloma Valley HS) groundout. She moved to third on a passed ball, scoring when the throw went up the third base line to give CBU a 1-0 lead.
• Lee scored all four of their runs with two out in the sixth inning. After a single and a walk, a sacrifice pushed runners to second and third. A sacrifice fly scored one run, and back-to-back homers by Brooklynn Frazier and Taylor Moran gave Lee the 4-1 lead.
