FLORENCE, Ala.-Host North Alabama claimed a 9-1 win Monday afternoon in the Christian Brothers University Lady Bucs' final road game of the season.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
• UNA (30-14, 20-10 GSC) scored two runs in the bottom of the second inning on two singles and an error.
• The Lady Bucs (6-41, 0-30) halved the deficit in the top of the third.
Amber Johnson (Somerville, Tenn./Fayette Academy) singled but was out when
Holly Oyhenart (Menifee, Calif./Paloma Valley HS) grounded into a force play.
Alexis Seward (Chino, Calif./Chino HS) singled to left, and an error moved her to second and Oyhenart to third.
Kylie Steagall (San Diego, Calif./Steele Canyon HS) scored Oyhenart on a sacrifice fly.
• The Lions blew the game open with a five-run third inning, taking advantage of a walk and seven singles.
• UNA added a run to its lead in the fourth on a walk and three singles.
• The Lions ended the game with a run in the fifth on a walk, two groundouts and a single.

• Oyhenart went 1-for-3 with a run.
