Scots Down Bucs 2-1 in Overtime Heartbreaker

MEMPHIS-Visiting Lyon scored the equalizer with just 38 seconds remaining to force overtime Friday night at Signaigo Field, evnetually handing the Christian Brothers University Bucs a 2-1 defeat in the Bucs' season opener.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
Brendan Bennett (Belfast, Northern Ireland/St. Mary's Christian Brothers Grammar School) opened the scoring in the 80th minute, scoring an unassisted goal just seconds after he subbed back into the game to put the Bucs (0-1-0) on the board.
• The Scots (1-1-1) equalized in the 90th minute as Arne Meyer scored unassisted to force overtime.
• After the Bucs had two shots saved in the first minutes of overtime, Lyon's Omar Fabila scored unassisted in the 98th minute for the golden goal.

KEY STATS:
• The Bucs out-shot Lyon 12-8 for the game, including a 5-3 edge in shots on goal.

WHAT'S NEXT:
The Bucs hit the road Sunday evening as they visit Maryville (Mo.) at 5 p.m.
