No. 22 Choctaws Blank Lady Bucs 3-0

CLINTON, Miss.-No. 22 Mississippi College handed the Christian Brothers University Lady Bucs a 3-0 loss Friday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
• MC (7-1-1, 6-1-0 GSC) opened the scoring in the 36th minute as Lauren Smith scored off a Holly Pascoe cross for her second goal of the season.
• The Lady Choctaws doubled their lead in the 55th minute as Caitlin Hayes headed in a free kick from Lauren Kate Carter for her second of the year.
• MC set the final margin in the 75th minute as Peace Gill scored off a Lauren Smith feed.

KEY STATS:
• MC out-shot the Lady Bucs (6-2-0, 4-3-0) 21-2, including a 10-2 edge in shots on goal.
Riley Chafin (Little Rock, Ark./Central HS) made seven saves for CBU.

WHAT'S NEXT:
The Lady Bucs hit the road Sunday afternoon at 1 p.m. as they visit Delta State. Their next home game is Friday night at 5 p.m. when they host Auburn-Montgomery.
