FLORENCE, Ala.-Host North Alabama claimed a 2-1 win over the Christian Brothers University Lady Bucs Friday night at the UNA Soccer Complex.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
• The Lions (2-1-0, 1-0-0 GSC) struck first in the 23rd minute as Shelby Wall fed a cross to Michelle Hunter, who scored the opening goal.
• In the 54th minute, Margarida Sousa scored off a double-assist from Beatriz Fernandes and Kristen Sinden to give the Lions a 2-0 edge.
• CBU (1-2-0, 0-1-0) halved the deficit in the 86th minute as
Caitlin Barnes (Olive Branch, Miss./Center Hill HS) scored her first career goal in the 86th minute off a cross from
Amalia Skalos (New Orleans, La./Benjamin Franklin HS).

• UNA out-shot the Lady Bucs 18-5, including a 10-3 edge in shots on goal.
