Lady Buccaneers fall to No. 20 Mississippi College at home

MEMPHIS – The Christian Brothers University Lady Buccaneers soccer team fell at the hands of conference rival No. 20 Mississippi College 4-1 at Signaigo Field on Friday night.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
  • The Choctaws got the better of a tightly contested first half, scoring in the 17th minute and again just before the halftime buzzer in the 45th minute to go up 2-0.
  • Sophomore midfielder Bailey Tadlock (Mandeville, La./Fontainebleau HS) bagged the Lady Bucs only goal (57') of the game, scoring off a one touch on a pass from Anna De La Rosa in the box.
  • Behind nine second-half shots, Mississippi College scored an additional two goals in the second-half, eventually going up 4-1.
KEY STATS:
  • Tadlock's second-half goal was her third of the season for the Lady Bucs, good for third on the team behind Anna De La Rosa and Sinead Tierney (Winsford, England/St. Nicholas Catholic HS).
  • De La Rosa's assist marked her third on the season, just one behind Tadlock for most on the team.
  • Lady Bucs goalkeeper Riley Chafin (Little Rock, Ark./Central HS) recorded five saves against the Choctaws on the night.
