HEAD COACH SARAH CONDRA'S THOUGHTS:
On receiving scoring contributions from all players:
"This was an important game for us; to come back and feel good about ourselves again. Like you said, it was a rough weekend (last weekend), and we didn't play our best ball, but we came back. We got a little bit of rest (this week) after a long road trip, and got some practice in last night. I think the girls were really focused coming in. We actually (won) a game like I feel like we should win games, playing at our level instead of playing down to an opponent's level. Lane is a good basketball team, and they gave us everything we had, but I think we came out and played really well from the beginning."
On Kelsey Adkins (Lawrenceburg, Tenn./Lawrence County HS) scoring a career high (24 points):
"Kelsey hasn't backed down from anybody yet (this season). In our exhibition games, we've played girls that were 6'2 or 6'3 and this is the second time we've played (Lane), and Kelsey doesn't care. She's just tough. And she gets her shot blocked some, but she keeps going back and she keeps going back and she's just solid. She's been solid for us all year long. I've been really proud of her fight and her effort."
On Makayla Enochs (Finley, Tenn./Dyer County HS) scoring a career high (24 points):
"I was really proud of (Makayla). I've been waiting for her to have a game like this. I've known that this is what she was capable of her entire career. And for her to start having some success, and start having it early (in the game), hopefully this is just the beginning of her coming on like she did tonight."
On Brynne Lytle's (Jackson, Tenn./Trinity Christian Academy) non-scoring contributions:
"At one point, I looked up (at the stats) and saw that Brynne had one point. But it's nice to know that she's capable of going off for 24 points any night, but a night like tonight where she didn't score, she did a lot of little things. I'd like to go back and look at the film to see how many deflections she got. She was just solid for us all night long; not scoring, but finding other ways to contribute."
On the freshman stepping up through the game:
"Absolutely. This team has fought all year long, and given me everything they've got. I'm just really happy for them to have a game like this, where everybody can get out there and play and contribute. You just feel good about yourself, and hopefully we can continue that into this weekend."
WHAT'S NEXT:
