No. 8 Lions Overpower Lady Bucs

FLORENCE, Alabama-No. 8 North Alabama scored in all five innings as they claimed a 12-0 win over the Christian Brothers University Lady Bucs Sunday night.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
• Playing as the visiting team since the game was originally scheduled in Memphis, UNA (35-4, 22-2 GSC) scored all the runs they would need in the top of the first when they scored four on an error, two singles and a triple.
• The Lions added three more in the second on a double, a single, a triple and a sacrifice fly.
• UNA tacked on three more in the third on three doubles and a single.
• The Lions extended their lead to 11-0 in the fourth with a run on a double and a single.
• UNA set the final margin with a run in the top of the fifth on two singles and a sacrifice fly.

KEY STATS:
• Amber Johnson (Somerville, Tenn./Fayette Academy) went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases for the Lady Bucs (9-32, 1-24).

WHAT'S NEXT:
The Lady Bucs wrap up the series against UNA Monday as they play a noon doubleheader. CBU's next home game is set for Saturday, April 28, when they host Union for a 1 p.m. doubleheader.
