MEMPHIS-The Christian Brothers University Lady Bucs hit .319 as they rolled to a three-set sweep over Mississippi College Saturday afternoon at Canale Arena.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
• The Lady Bucs (7-9, 2-3 GSC) hit .372 in the opening set, using a five-point run to open an early 9-4 lead on a
Gennah Schoen (Portland, Ore./David Douglas HS) kill. A later four-point run extended the lead to 16-8 on a
Miaya Smith (Memphis, Tenn./St. George's Independent School) kill, and they never allowed MC (7-9, 1-4) closer than seven points in a 25-15 win.
• In the second set, CBU used a 7-1 run to take a 10-4 lead they would never relinquish on an
Anna Graziosi (Lakeland, Tenn./St. Benedict HS) ace. The Choctaws came within a point at 14-13, but a 9-2 run extended the lead to 23-15, with CBU winning 25-17 on a
Mollie Wadsworth (Hernando, Miss./Northpoint Christian HS) kill.
• MC opened the third set on a 9-1 run, but the Lady Bucs rallied, first with a five-point run capped by a double-block by Smith and
Emma Lenoir (Chattanooga, Tenn./East Hamilton HS). After the Choctaws rebuilt their lead to 18-10 with a five-point run, the Lady Bucs used a 7-1 burst to close within 19-17 on a Lenoir kill. They came within a point twice, at 20-19 and 22-21, before finally taking their first lead of the set on a
Blythe Clausen (Hendersonville, Tenn./Pope John Paul II HS) kill that gave them a 24-23 edge. A Schoen kill capped the comeback as CBU won 26-24 to clinch the sweep.
KEY STATS:
• Lenoir logged a match-best 16 kills with a team-high 12 digs, hitting .316.
• Smith hit .588 with 12 kills and five blocks.

Anna Graziosi (Lakeland, Tenn./St. Benedict HS) had 38 assists, 11 digs and three kills.
• Clausen had nine digs, three kills and two aces.
