MEMPHIS- The Lee University Lady Flames put on a rebounding clinic as they out rebounded the Christian Brothers University Lady Bucs 47-26 Saturday afternoon. The Lady Flames ran away with a 77-55 victory over the Lady Bucs.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- It was a back-and-forth game throughout the first quarter, with the Lady Bucs (4-6, 1-4 GSC) getting the closest thing to a lead, which was a tie, coming halfway through the quarter. The Lady Flames (11-3, 5-1) took the lead with two minutes remaining in the quarter and they never lost that lead again for the rest of the game.
- A Lauren Taylor (Collierville, Tenn./Collierville HS) jumper, early in the second quarter, brought the Bucs three points from the lead. Soon after, the Lady Flames went on a 15-3 run and then ran away with the game.
- The Lady Bucs closed the game with a 15-5 run, but it wasn't enough to complete a comeback as the Lady Flames finished the game with a 77-55 victory.
KEY STATS:
- Brynne Lytle (Jackson, Tenn./Trinity Christian Academy) and Kenzie Jones (Park Hills, Mo./Central HS) were the only Lady Bucs to finish the game with double figure points. Lytle finished the game with 19 points, four rebounds, three assists, and two steals. Jones ended with 17 points, seven rebounds, and three steals.
- The Lady Bucs shot 35.8 percent (19-53) from the field, including 26.3 percent (5-19) from downtown, and 66.7 percent (12-18) from the line. The Lady Flames finished shooting 46.2 percent (30-65), while shooting 30.8 percent (8-26) from three, and 60 percent (9-15) from the free throw line.

The Lady Bucs return to action Monday, January 7th against The University of Alabama in Huntsville at Canale Arena.
