MEMPHIS - The matchup against the Christian Brothers University Lady Bucs and the Hawks from Shorter University, Saturday evening, was a back-and-forth affair. Set at Canale Arena, the match was forced to a game deciding fifth set with CBU edging out the 3-2 victory.

CBU 3, Lee 2 (17-25, 25-22, 23-25, 25-15, 15-12)

WHAT HAPPENED: The Lady Bucs and Hawks were knotted at two sets each through four, but CBU was able to fend off Shorter enough to pull away with the 3-2 match victory.

KEY STATS:

• Emma Lenoir recorded a double-double in the match as she tallied 23 kills and 16 digs. This is her eighth double-double on the season.
• Maddie Stevens tallied 21 digs in the match. This ties her career high in digs in a single match. 
• Maddie Flickinger set a career high with 46 assists in the match. This trumps her past career high by 28.
• Lenoir (23), Miaya Smith (14), and Mollie Wadsworth (13) recorded double digit kills. Wadsworth also made the most out of her attacks as she finished the match with an impressive .400 hitting percentage
