HUNTSVILLE - The Christian Brothers University Lady Bucs fell at the hands of conference foe the University of Alabama in Huntsville Chargers 3-1 Sunday morning. The match took place at the Merrimack Complex in Huntsville, Ala.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- UAH grabbed the early 1-0 lead in the 16th minute as Laura Hasani intercepted a Lady Bucs' pass at the top of the box and powered it into the bottom half of the net.
- Both teams were held to zero goals for the rest of the first half.
- To begin the second half, the Chargers added onto their lead in the 57th minute as Kristen LaPlante knocked one into the back of the net coming from a free kick (2-0).
- Four minutes later, UAH extended their lead to 3-0.
- The Lady Bucs didn't go quietly as Bailey Tadlock netted her seventh goal of the season coming from a perfectly placed pass from Kendall Harris. The goal came in the 86th minute.
KEY STATS:
- Tadlock's seventh goal of the season places her in fifth in the Gulf South Conference in most goals on the season.
- Harris recorded her first collegiate assist in the match.
- The Lady Bucs outshot the Chargers 16-5.
