Second Half Goal Helps Valdosta State Knock Off Lady Bucs

MEMPHIS - Visiting Valdosta State erased a 1-0 deficit, scoring a goal in each half, in a 2-1 victory over the Christian Brothers University women's soccer team, on a cool Friday evening at Signaigo Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

1' | CBU took a quick lead just 26 seconds into the match when Bailey Tadlock took a pass from Mya Gargone, overpowered three defenders, and fired a shot past the goalkeeper.
27' | VSU equalized when Ashley Lewis received a cross from Amber Saunders and headed it into the back of the net.
HALF | CBU outshot the Lady Blazers 6-5 in the first half, forcing five saves from Riley Chafin
67' | After withstanding some early chances from CBU, Valdosta State scored what proved to be the game-winner when Mallory Johnson scored following a corner kick.
