Mia Holmes made three saves to help lift the Christian Brothers University women's soccer team to a 1-0 victory over West Georgia, on Sunday at Signaigo Field. Before the match, CBU honored its seven seniors.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
20' | The visitors had a chance to take the lead, but Nikki Conte had her point blank shot saved by Holmes.
41' | Four minutes after hitting the crossbar Tadlock scored what proved to be the game-winner, when she took a pass and cut inside and fired a shot past the goalkeeper.
HALF | CBU outshot the Lady Blazers 8-3 in the first half.
68' | UWG had its best chance of the second half when Alyssa Turner hit a shot that was close to tying the game, but Holmes made a tremendous save.
