MURRAY, Ky. - Murray State outscored the Christian Brothers University women's basketball team 48-21 in the second half, and cruised to a 95-59 win, in exhibition action, on Friday night at the CFSB Center. The contest was the third and final exhibition for CBU.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Murray State led 18-15 after one quarter of play.
- CBU took a brief 21-20 lead, with 8:12 left in the half, but the hosts responded with a 14-0 run and led 47-38 at the half.
- Murray State owned the third and fourth quarters outscoring CBU 24-11 and 24-10.
KEY STATS | NOTEABLES:
- The Racers outrebounded CBU 55-30, scoring 22 second chance points.
- Brynne Lytle led all scorers with 22 points, on 9-of-19 shooting. Lytle also had a team-high seven rebounds. The Jackson, Tenn., native has averaged 24.6 points in three exhibition games.
- Taylor Williams added 11 points for CBU.
