CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. - Austin Peay outscored the Christian Brothers University women's basketball team 44-26, in the first half, in a 82-62 victory, in exhibition action, on Friday night at the Winfield Dunn Center.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Austin Peay led 19-10 after one quarter of play.
- The Govs led by as many as 22 points, in the second quarter, but CBU outscored the hosts 9-5 the rest of the way to cut the lead to 44-26 at the half.
- After an evenly played third quarter, the hosts opened the fourth on a 22-8 run.
- CBU responded, closing the game on a 14-2 run to finish the scoring.
KEY STATS | NOTEABLES:
- Austin Peay outrebounded the Lady Bucs 48-29, scoring 22 second chance points.
- Brynne Lytle led all scorers with 23 points, on 7-of-14 shooting. The Jackson, Tenn., native has averaged 26 points in two exhibition games.
- Taylor Williams added 15 points, while Lauren Taylor finished with 14 points and 9 rebounds.
