Blake Dallas combined for a no-hitter, in game two, and
Jeff Goodwin had a walk-off single in the opener, to help the Christian Brothers University baseball team earn a doubleheader sweep of Lane College, on Wednesday at Nadicksbernd Field.

GAME CHANGER
- With the winning run on third base, in the bottom of the ninth, Jeff Goodwin hit a sharp line drive up the middle to bring home Bailey Jones to claim the win for the Bucs.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- The Bucs outhit the Dragons 11-10.
- Eight of the nine starters for the Bucs tallied a hit, including Goodwin, Travis Cole, and Kyle Hindman with a multi-hit game.
- Hindman and Goodwin finished the game with two RBIs each.
- CBU reliever, Garrett Stebbins-Johnson, allowed 0 earned runs over his 5.1 innings of relief.
KEY PLAYS
- The first inning was quite eventful with Lane coming out of the gates putting two on the board and CBU answering back with a run of its own in the bottom of the first inning (2-1).
- CBU took the lead in the bottom of the second after they strung together a few hits and capitalized off of a Lane error (4-2).
- The Dragons wasted no time on regaining the lead as they retook the lead in the top of the third coming from two hits and two CBU errors (5-4).
- Lane tacked two runs onto its lead in the following inning to give them the three run lead (7-4).
- A Goodwin sacrifice fly and a Jared Cramer single, in the bottom of the seventh, helped even the score at seven.
- Goodwin's line drive base knock in the bottom of the last frame drove in the winning run to give the Bucs the 8-7 win.

- The Bucs tallied 12 hits.
- CBU scored four runs and tacked on six hits in the fourth inning.
- Cramer led all Bucs hitters with four hits, while Hindman and J.D. Goodspeed both tallied two base knocks.
KEY PLAYS
- Jaime Soto and Keagan Voss hit into back-to-back fielder choices, in the bottom of the first, to give CBU the 2-0 lead.
- The Bucs rounded out the scoring for the game, in the bottom of the fourth, coming from Goodspeed's first collegiate home run, a Hindman RBI single, and a Voss two RBI single.
WHAT'S NEXT
- The Bucs are scheduled to open the home portion of their GSC schedule on Friday, March 1 when they host Alabama Huntsville. First pitch is scheduled for 1 p.m. The series was originally scheduled for Saturday, March 2nd and Sunday, March 3, but was moved due to the threat of inclement weather.
