Bucs Earn Shutout Victory Over Rhodes

MEMPHIS - Alvaro Martinez scored two goals, and three CBU goalkeepers combined for a shutout in a 4-0 victory over crosstown foe Rhodes on Wednesday at Signaigo Field.  

HOW IT HAPPENED
 
33' | Habib Binate scored the opener for the Bucs in the 33 minute when his shot from outside the box found the top right corner. 
59' | After forcing seven first half saves the Bucs added to their total when Martinez scored on a scramble in front of goal. 
88' | Ivan Segui put the game away when he slotted home a through ball from Maxi Galizzi
89' | Martinez scored the final goal of the match when he headed home a corner kick from Jacob Daffern

KEY STATS
  • CBU forced nine saves from Rhodes.
  • The Bucs defense held Rhodes to just five shots. 
  • CBU recorded 22 shots, which is its most since firing 28 against Ouachita Baptist (Oct. 28, 2017).
  • Viktor Hoestbo, Wayne Davis and Vic Ramirez combined for a shutout. Hoestbo and Ramirez had one save each.
