Lady Bucs Fall in Opening Games of 2019 Harding Invitational

SEARCY - The Christian Brothers University Lady Bucs dropped matches against Missouri S&T (0-3) and Ouachita Baptist (2-3) to open their play in the 2019 Harding Invitational.

CBU 0, Missouri S&T 3  (7-25, 17-25, 21-25)

WHAT HAPPENED: The Lady Bucs used a couple of big scoring runs to make things interesting, but the Miners were able to complete a 3-0 victory.

KEY STATS: 
CBU 2, Ouachita Baptist 3  (25-22, 28-16, 15-25, 24-26, 14-16)

WHAT HAPPENED: The Lady Bucs jumped out to a strong 2-0 lead, but the Tigers of Ouachita Baptist were able to rally back to force a fifth set. The final set looked like it was all Lady Bucs, but OBU had two late scoring outbursts to lead them to the 3-2 match victory.

KEY STATS: 
  • Lenoir finished the match with 27 kills. This is the most kills she has recorded in a single match this season. 
  • Hollinger (15) and Smith (14) finished with double digit kills.
  • Anna Graziosi recorded 28 assists, while Alayna Maslinski shortly followed with 25.
  • Smith successfully teamed up with another teammate to record seven block assists.
  • The Lady Bucs tallied eight service aces.
