Lady Bucs Drop Pair to Wrap-Up Harding Invitational

SEARCY - The Christian Brothers University Lady Bucs finished their play at the Harding Invitational in Searcy, Arkansas. The Lady Bucs fell to opponents Rockhurst University and Harding University. 

CBU 0, Rockhurst 3 (21-25, 13-25, 16-25)

WHAT HAPPENED: Rockhurst seemed to attack more efficiently as they finished the contest with a .347 hitting percentage, while CBU posted a .126 percentage. Rockhurst won the match 3-0.  

KEY STATS:
  • Emma Lenoir finished the match with 12 kills. She has recorded double digit kills in each match this season, except one.
  • The Lady Bucs recorded 16 successful blocks in the match.
  • Anna Graziosi led the team with 15 assists. Anna Maslinski finished with 12 assists.

CBU 0, Harding 3 (15-25, 18-25, 25-20, 25-27)

WHAT HAPPENED: Harding used multiple scoring runs to power themselves to an early 2-0 lead in the match. In the third set, the Lady Bucs were able to do the same when scoring runs pushed them to a 25-20 set victory. The Bisons were able to fend of CBU's comeback effort to win the match 3-1.

KEY STATS:
  • The Lady Bucs' Lenoir (14), Miaya Smith (11), Meredith Hollinger (10) finished the match with double digit kills.
  • Graziosi added 24 assists to her total. She recorded 39 total assists on the day.
  • Lenoir has had double digit kills in eight consecutive games.
