ROME, Ga. - One week after scoring 96 points in a home victory over Shorter, the Christian Brothers University women's basketball team topped that performance with a 97-72 road victory, on Thursday night at the Winthrop-King Centre.
The 97 points are now the most in modern day program history. The Lady Bucs also tied the mark for the second-most made field goals in program history (37).

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The first quarter was all Lady Bucs, as they led opened up a 17-4 lead and finished the period with a 22-9 lead.
- Shorter opened the second quarter with a 16-7 spurt, but the Lady Bucs regained control to take a 46-27 lead into halftime.
- The Lady Bucs were 19-of-35 from the floor, in the first half, and shot 6-of-12 from long range.
- CBU lead by as many as 31 points in the second half, while allowing the hosts to get to within 20 points just once.
KEY STATS | NOTEABLES:
- CBU finished the game shooting (37-of-66) 56 percent from the floor, including 11-for-20 from three point range. The Lady Bucs shot a season high 56 percent in both meetings against Shorter. The 55 percent from long range is the best output of the season.
- The Hawks were 30-of-71 (42 percent) from the floor, but were just 3-of-14 from beyond the arc.
- After allowing 14 three pointers from Shorter in the first meeting, the Lady Bucs surrendered just three in the second contest.
- The CBU bench scored 38 points, including career-high's from Sydney Wilson (20) and Julia Nicholson (9).
- Brynne Lytle scored a team-high 28 points. She has scored at least 24 points in the last nine games.
- Lauren Taylor added 17 points on a perfect 7-for-7 from the floor.
- Taylor Williams finished with 10 points and nine boards.

The Lady Bucs are scheduled to return to action on Saturday, Feb. 1 when they travel to West Georgia. Tipoff is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. The Wolves defeated CBU 89-75 on Jan. 25.
