ROME, Ga. - The Christian Brothers University men's basketball team outscored Shorter 47-32 in the second half, and earned an 83-70 victory, on Thursday night at the Winthrop King-Centre.
The win was the fourth straight for the Bucs.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- After an evenly played opening portion of the contest Shorter took a 23-15 lead, with 8:04 left in the half.
- The Bucs fought back to cut the Hawks lead to 38-36 at the break.
- Shorter had an excellent opening 20 minutes shooting the ball, as it went 13-of-25, including 6-for-10 from beyond the arc.
- CBU stormed out of the locker room in the second half, using a 11-0 run to take a 47-38 lead.
- The Bucs did not allow a point for the first 4:54 of the second half.
- CBU led by as many as 23 in the second half, as it held Shorter to just 12 points in 12:08.
- The Hawks scored the final eight points of the game to finish the scoring.
KEY STATS | NOTEABLES:
- CBU finished the game shooting (32-of-60) 53 percent from the field and 13-of-15 from the free throw line.
- Shorter finished 24-of-50 from the floor, but were held to just 2-of-10 from beyond the arc in the second half.
- Daryl Lewis led the Bucs with 20 points.
- Mitchell Mays posted season high's with 15 points and 11 rebounds.
- Jaret Gassett added 14 points.
