MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Auburn Montgomery scored a combined 19 runs and pounded out 22 hits in a doubleheader sweep of the Christian Brothers University softball team, on Saturday, at the AUM Softball Complex. AUM won the opener 10-0, and completed the sweep with a 9-2 win in the nightcap.
GAME ONE: AUM 10 (6-1, 1-0 GSC), CBU 0 (4-5, 0-1 GSC)
GAME CHANGER:
- The Warhawks scored four runs in the first inning, and kept the momentum going to earn the win.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- AUM finished with a 10-2 advantage in hits.

Ashley Dyer and
Memory Willingham recorded hits for CBU. After a leadoff walk in the first, Dyer doubled in the third.
- Starting pitcher
McKenna Rose allowed four runs on six hits in two innings.
KEY PLAYS:
- AUM hit a three run home run in the first, and added a run on an RBI single.
- The Warhawks added three runs in the second, one in the third and two in the fourth.
GAME TWO: AUM 9 (7-2, 2-0 GSC), CBU 2 (4-6, 0-2)
GAME CHANGER:
- AUM had 12 hits and its starting pitcher, Chanel Newcomer, had eight strikeouts.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- CBU was outhit 12-6.
- Dyer and
Savannah Rosevear-Goetsch recorded doubles.

Mackenzie Puckett surrendered nine runs, eight earned, on 12 hits.
KEY PLAYS:
- With a 3-0 lead, in the third, AUM hit a three RBI triple to extend its lead.
- Trailing 7-0, in the fifth, the Lady Bucs got RBI singles from
Savannah Crockett and Memory WIlingham.
- AUM finished the scoring in the bottom of the fifth, on a two RBI single.
