MONTGOMERY, Ala. - Auburn Montgomery outscored the Christian Brothers University women's basketball team 16-7 in the first quarter, and did not look back, in an 82-65 victory, on Thursday night, at the AUM Athletics Complex.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The first quarter was all Warhawks, as they jumped out to a 16-2 lead and held a 16-7 advantage going into the second quarter.
- AUM led by as many as 19 points, in the second period, but the Lady Bucs cut the lead to 32-23 at the break.
- The third quarter belonged to the hosts, as they led by double figures for all but two minutes.
- A three pointer at the horn gave AUM a 53-36 lead after three quarters.
- The Lady Bucs trailed by as many as 22 points in the final quarter, and were unable to cut the lead to single digits.
KEY STATS | NOTEABLES:
- The 65 points were the fewest for CBU since scored 63 in a 63-62 win over UAH (1.4.20).
- The Lady Bucs finished the game 23-of-59 (39 percent) from the floor, and were just 7-of-25 (28 percent) from long range.
- AUM knocked down 28-of-60 (47 percent) from the field, including 10-for-21 (48 percent) from three point range. The Warhawks were also 16-of-18 from the free throw stripe.
- Brynne Lytle scored a game-high 25 points.
- Taylor Williams finished the game with a double-double, chipping in 14 points and 10 rebounds.
