Arkansas Tech Hits Way Past Bucs

MEMPHIS – Visiting Arkansas Tech scored five runs in the second and added six in the fourth to defeat the Christian Brothers University baseball team 15-1, on Tuesday afternoon at Nadicksbernd Field. 

FINAL SCORE: ARKANSAS TECH 15 (10-12) CBU 1 (4-18) (7)
 
GAME CHANGER:
- Arkansas Tech pounded out 16 hits, including three home runs. 

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- The Bucs were outhit 16-2. 
- Luke Wewers and Will Turner had the hits for CBU. 
- Travis Cole had a sacrifice fly to score the lone CBU run. 

KEY PLAYS:
- After Arkansas Tech took a 1-0 lead in the first, it added five more in the second, using a home run and a pair of RBI singles. 
- Cole's sac fly made it 6-1, in the second. 
- Tech scored the next nine runs in the game, including one in the third, six in the fourth and two in the fifth. 
- The Wonderboys hit a pair of home runs in the fourth inning, and finished the scoring on a fielders choice in the fifth. 

UP NEXT:
The Bucs are scheduled to return to action on Saturday, March 14 when they host Shorter for a three-game Gulf South Conference series. First pitch is set for noon.
