PENSACOLA, Fla. – West Florida allowed just two hits in 10 innings, in a dominant performance, in a doubleheader sweep of the Christian Brothers University softball team, on Thursday afternoon, at the UWF Softball Complex.
UWF did not allow a hit, in a 9-0 win, in the opener, and allowed just two in an 8-0 victory to finish the sweep. The doubleheader between the Gulf South Conference foes did not count in the league standings.
GAME ONE: UWF 9 (15-7), CBU 0 (9-13) (5)
GAME CHANGER:
- Three UWF pitchers combined to allow just one baserunner.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- UWF outhit the Lady Bucs 10-0.

- UWF hit the first of its home runs, a two-run shot, in the bottom of the first.
- The hosts put up six runs in the third, using a three-run home run, while also taking advantage of an error to plate two more.
- UWF finished the scoring with a solo home run in the fourth.
