BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The Gulf South Conference announced its 2020 Spring All-Academic Teams and Honor Roll on Wednesday afternoon, and Christian Brothers University had a pair of student-athletes named Academic All-Conference and 54 earn Academic Honor Roll honors.
The CBU golf teams were well represented, as
Federico Pichetto and
Rosie Wiethop earned a spot on the 2020 Gulf South Conference Spring All-Academic Teams. CBU also had 54 student-athletes named to the Gulf South Conference Academic Honor Roll.
Pichetto, who was named a CBU Gold Scholar, finished with a 3.77 grade point average as an Engineering Management major. The Occhiello Inferiore, Italy native wrapped up his career with one top-10 finish and seven career top 20 finishes. In what proved to be his last career tournament, Pichetto finished tied for 16
th, helping CBU to a win at its host tournament.
Wiethop earned a second All-Academic nod, after also being named to the team last season. The Madison, Ala., native has a 3.81 GPA in Electrical Engineering. Wiethop earned a pair of top-30 finishes this season, and was named a CBU Gold Scholar.
GSC All-Academic honorees must have a 3.2 cumulative GPA and have made significant contributions to their respective teams during the 2020 campaign.
